Oxford NCT Home Birth Group is a friendly informal group and welcomes anyone who is considering where to give birth, or is interested in finding out more about home birth. You don’t have to have already decided on a home birth to come, you are welcome to come along if you are still unsure but would like to discuss birth in a positive and encouraging environment. As well as pregnant women and their partners/ supporters we are normally joined by local midwives, doulas and other birth professionals who have lots of useful experience with home birth to share. We are also often privileged to welcome new parents back to the group after their births, and it is always wonderful to meet their new babies and hear their stories.
‘I wanted to let you know what an enormous help your group has been in the preparation of Ada’s birth. Each time I came, I went home feeling more and more positive and inspired by the stories I heard. I really feel the group became an integral part of the success of my labour and for that I cannot thank you enough!’ – Stephanie
Oxford NCT Home Birth Group meets on the last Wednesday of the month from 7.30 to 9.30 pm in a private home (we usually don’t meet in August or December). The meetings are free to attend but we welcome donations in our NCT charity collection tin. Please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
